Unity & MadMapper

Unity

For Unity game I followed the tutorial provided by out teachers on HCI course. I really enjoyed working with Unity interface, however my MacBook was having hard time handling Unity's processes.

To create the game I was following assignments in the PDF, however only tank named Panzerkampfwagen II Ausf. F costed 5$. Hence I decided to take cool looking muscle car instead.

To make game look real I have added a texture to the ground. When you approach a car you will see that its roof will start to burn. When you go back again it will stop. That's very basic game but required some new skills in programming and designing.

MadMapper

About mad mapper:  "Madmapper is a user-friendly application for projection mapping (projecting on 3- dimensional planes). One practical aspect about MadMapper is that the software is compatible with Siphon input. The ‘Processing’ application can output Syphon. This means that you can create an interactive environment in Processing and project it on a physical object by feeding the output to Madmapper."

For purpose of assignment I used Assignment 3 from Processing Workshop. I created new MadMapper project and followed the tutorial provided by our teachers to display Processing programme in MadMapper.

On the left side of the video you can see normal Processing programme being played, and on the right side you can see the same image being displayed in MadMapper. It means that using projector image could be displayed for example on 3D cube or any other object.
